oh and btw, kind of off topic...hey 91mr2, i dont know how into mr2s u are but you should pick up a copy of february's sport compact car (its got GTIs on the cover), it has an INSANE article about this guy who built an mr2 w/ gt4088r and a self made dual fuel system. 2 tanks, one with 87 the other with c16, and 2 sets of injectors, 550 and 1600. 87 for low boost, mix for medium and straight c16 for 17psi and up. its pretty impressive how he made it all work. made 755/529 to the wheels.

I test drove a S2K...didnt not like the tight feel...not much room to work with. The interior is nice but the SSL package is also great...leather FTW. Not a big convertible fan. I have seen some tastefully modded S2K but there is something about the evo that appeals to my eyes.

 

Both great cars, but i think the Evo is superior in most ways..

 

Stock for stock an s2k might pull on the freeway

 

Not in my case... 1st test against an Evo when I was in my S2k was on the freeway. He kept pulling on me slightly. We started at around 30 - 40 MPH. He was on my ***, playing with me... I dropped it into 2nd, he stayed RIGHT on my ***. So, I moved over, but kept my speed. He pulled up, we both took off. He pulled on me and then a car got in my way... I slowed down, played it cautious for a bit and then got up on his *** and I stayed around 6k RPM. He took off, I did too... I couldn't stay on his *** at all. He continued to pull on me every time.

I tried to catch up to him to give him a thumb's up, but he just wouldn't let me.

 

Actually, now that I remember the incident, when he down shifted, he did have some fire come out of his exhaust... So, he may have been modded. He had a few gauges in his car and that down shifting fire from his exhaust led me to believe he had some stuff going on in that car.

However, the 2nd Evo seemed bone stock to me and he beat me.

 

Just almost imposibble, just look at the numbers....WHP WTQ alone Evo have more than enough. Yes if on a track course, S2k stand a chance, not on the road.

 

anyone who picks an S2000 over an evo should get kicked in the mouth..... no disrespect 91mr2.. LOL

No offense but a decent SC setup on a S2000 would MUrder a stock EVo...If it was just creepin then He must have a terrible setup and should give up on life lol.

 

the s2k is a low to mid 14 second car in stock form....why is there even a question on who would win??

 

Is your 91 Mr2 stock? Cause I owned a 91 Mr2 with a 97 jspec motor in it before I moved on to the Evo, and I was eating up S2k's.. Even with the motor it feels just as fast or a bit slower then the evo.

 

i raced a GT35R s2k( the one featured from hawaii in D-Sport Nov issue) had a built motor 23psi 450hp,etc..and i took him pretty easily...
