Evo Vs. S2k

I just wanted some feedback from some evo owners, No disrespect intended, i think that the evo is a beautifully designed car.

Ok so from about 5 s2k owners they tell me that stock for stock they can pull on evos is that true. I mean i have driven a stock s2k and its not that impressive in a straight line, in the curves its a different story. I drove an S with I/E/ and it feels the same as stock. But see i drive a 91 mr2 and at 12 psi i can pull on them so i dont understand how stock for stock they can beat evos.

Bah. It's false. I owned a 2002 S2000. Bone stock except for a drop-in K&N Filter. I went up against 2 Evo's in my 1 year of owning the S2000. Both stock Evo's pulled on me and beat me. I could NOT keep up with them. Now, I'm not saying they beat me by car length's or anything... However, not only could I not keep up, but they would continue to slowly pull on me throughout the entire "race". Plus, I can honestly say that the guys I went up against weren't the best drivers in the world either... Their shifting wasn't all that great.

The Evo is a faster car. Period. The stats show it and in all honesty I saw it personally. However, I know what you're saying... EVERY S2000 owner will say their car will pull on an Evo. It's just not true. I even admitted that when I owned the S2000.

They definately will not be able to pull on evos from in a straight line. They do feel a bit more nimble but are easy to spin out when driven at the limit. I do like the autostart button and interior though.

This topic has been beaten to death. S2K better auto-x car, Evo better drag car, road race depends on what you want both are great. Blah blah move on with life.

against an EVo 9 they will most definitely not pull lol. Even though stock isnt all that great I cant see myself getting pulled by a s2000 or 350z stock v.s stock.

I personally feel the Evo has just as good of a suspension as a stock S2000... The S2k is a great car, but I think people trump it up too much. It's fast, it's handles great, especially the pre-04 models. The post 04 models have a softer suspension and handle a little less nicely than the pre-04's... I mean, they have to sell the cars and quite honestly I see more tennis mom's driving S2000's than Miata's these days.

+1.. S2k's are great cars but it's just hard to believe that they would pull on an evo in stock form

Indeed. The S2000 is a very fun car and it looks great. Very sexy car.

However, my girlfriend actually likes my new Evo "A lot more" than my 02 S2000. Go figure... She said the Evo is more comfortable and has more room and the more she looks at it the more she thinks it's a very sexy car. This came from her without me asking her about it... it just came out of the blue... So, I'm pleased.

Maybe I got sick of the S2k, but I'm loving the Evo a lot more than the S2000. The S2k took a couple of month's to get used to and even after that, I HATED driving that thing in the rain... I lost the back end numerous times in the rain when I wasn't going fast at all. However, the gearbox and clutch on that thing was definitely nice.

the stk, evo and 350z stock for stock are very close to the same speed. all 3 trap about 100mpg in the 1/4 mile. but the evo is a little fast. the thing is the evo very very few mods and bolt ons can easyly be much faster and can tramp up to 110mph. where as the s2k need expensive forced induction to gain any real power.
the evo is much more practical to drive ever day. it has 4 doors. better to take trips in. much better tq and low end power.

but
the stk is a convertiable and a much better looking and sportyer car
