My wife, upon arriving home from work one day, said, "I think there is a wire stuck in one of my tires." So I go out figuring it is a nail with the head worn off or something and find this white rod about the diameter of a pencil sticking about 4 feet out of a wheelwell. The end where it pierced the tread was bent over and the rest was sticking straight out and not hitting the car.

After that if she said something was wrong with her car I was quick to look.

Maybe it got left in the undertray and slid out through the gap betweeen the fender liner and the underpanel and just happened to get caught in the wheel at speed. Still a long shot but, that is the only thing I can think of.

No I did not drive on it like that, as soon as I heard the air gushing out I knew somthing was wrong. But it happened late at night, on a road with no lights. I did not even relize the wrench was in the tire untill i was loosening the lug nuts and the lug nut wrench started hitting it. Now I always carry a light wherever I go.

So was it your wrench or just something you picked up on the road?

It was my wrench, and there was no real damage to it either, except when the tire guy was beating on it with a hammer to remove it.

Have any more pictures that are higher quality? That pic looks VERY photoshopped.

Lol in our tire store we actually have a tire sitting on the showroom with a ratchet through it exactly like yours.. It puzzled us all and is always the talk when customers are in the lobby waiting on there vehicle.. We use it for advertisement for our Road Hazard Plan
