Burned on an atp kit by batmann!

Hello I recently paid for an atp kit from a fellow member whos sn is (batmann!).
I met him in person and picked up the kit I was waiting with 2 friends for 1 hour out of town and in horrible weather conditions. He showed me the kit really fast and then I headed back to my town. I stoped to eat somewhere and looked at the kit more and I noticed it was missing part of the downpipe. I call batmann! and he told me the downpipe was in a different city. Huh? I had payed a mechanic to work on my car. And already paid the deposite for getting my car tuned on the 20th by jestr. So this means that I didnt get my full kit and im in a ****ty position already. Well when I got home I mounted the turbo to the head to see if there were any other obvious problems. Well what I saw was this kit was not 100% bolt in like (batmann!) had stated in his thread. What I noticed was that this guy sent me something that was really incomplete and would not work without custom fabed stuff.

This is the thread he made when he was selling it. It seems like he tried to decive me. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...&highlight=atp

1. Im missing the rest of the downpipe.
2. Im missing the lower ic pipe that comes with the atp kit
3. The oil lines wont work
4. The water lines wont work
5. This kit is incomplete
6. I already paid him and my mechanic
7. I just want my money back and ill give him this incomplete kit back.
8. He doesnt want to give me my money back.

So from here I already have a escalded dispute via paypal I pmed a mod to see if evom could help me out. I just want my money back and I will give him his incomplete kit back. I took pics of the problems here they are

Im missing the other piece of the atp down pipe that connects this part to the cat or in my case a test pipe

The oil lines and coolant lines will not work with out me buying something to attach to these connections. I think he got it to work by doing that or he had different oil and coolant lines.

He gave me stock intercooler lower pipe to mate to this? Uhm okay 100% bolt on dont think so.

I did speak with him today after calling plenty of times last night and this morning and he expressed he will not refund me and that he is only willing to send me the rest of the downpipe later and told me he would pay for meineke to install it. I am missing stuff and just want my money back. Thanks for any help evom and evom members.

I have to admit that that is a super shady *** thing to do. But if I was meeting somone in person for somthing I would make damn sure that everything is there.

I dont know why people try and rip people off. Then they ruin themselves for any future transactions.

Hope you getthings sorted out

You looked at the kit in person and gave him the money.

I don't agree with crappy sellers but as a buyer you have to pay attention. You recieved the prodcut, Paypal won't do anything.

I only have a 1 piece downpipe with my kit, not sure why yours has ANOTHER V-band fitting down there...

Also a lot of ATP kits didn't come with LICP's until recently, so it isn't a neccesity, unless he said one was included.

Lastly those oil/water lines look no different than mine, are you hooking them up wrong? Hopefully mine works...

KOEvo he told me this came with everything for full bolt in. This atp kit is one of the few around still with the 2 piece downpipe. Could you please show me pictures of how those lines will connect to anything? 3 of them wont even reach to anything so I dont see how they will connect to anything without more pieces to the kit or longer oil/water lines. I will try to post more/better pics soon.

Yea..I dont think I would have just taken a quik glance at it if I were buying a high dollar item like a turbo kit. I agree the DP thing is a bit shady, but again had you looked you would have known. At least hes agreed to send it to you.

As far as the coolant and oil lines, get the proper adaptors and it will be fine. Its a good idea to use fresh ones anyway considering how critical the damage could be if there were a leak. Once you have the rest of the DP and spend about 30 bucks on the proper fittings you should be able to have it up and running in no time.

Did you pay him in cash if so then no paper trail and thats bad for you.

If you paid him by check then Stop payment on check through your bank ASAP.

If you paid hime by CC then call your card company and put in a dispute.

After that you either bite the bullet or get him in small claims court and plea your case.

Good Luck.
