Question front license plate bracket with no or little drilling

i've searched for a few days now but haven't been able to find the answer or product that would fit my needs...

does anyone know of a part number or product offered by vendors where you can mount your front license plate without having to drill the bumper? Preferably this wouldn't or at least minimally obstruct the intercooler or any other opening. If it does have to attach to the bumper then it would have to be attached to somewhere out of site. Or it would attach to a hard point on the body (maybe the crash beam or some part of the frame) or reuse an existing mounting place where another nut and bolt are screwed in...

i imagine that this would be some type of bracket...

Why not just put the plate in the front windshield?

I just used the stock Evo plate mount but instead of drilling the hole in the bumper I just used double sided sticky tape on the part of the bracket that sits against the body (where you have to drill the hole).

It has two other mounting points that use existing holes.

I have never had a problem with it.

I doubt the San Diego Cali cops would let that slide by... that is probably more a noticeable illegal act than not having a front plate in the first place LOL.

^^ you should check local laws before making blanket statements like that.

In WI the windshield is legal.

I live in wisconsin also. And im not a big fan of the windsheild idea. I see alot of ricers putting it in there. I would rather just keep it on the bumper.

And my car came with it on so ther is not much I can do. And Im pretty sure the dealer didnt use tape.

Didnt have no plate at first, on the bumper or in the windshield till the cop pulls me over for not having a front plate n then tells me to put it in my windshield where its visible.

I have NEVER had a front plate on any of my cars. Never had a ticket either. Also, if you do get a ticket, its just a fix it ticket (just go home, put it on and get it written off).

I actully had an off duty cop question me about it once, I said,"look at the bumper. theres no where to mount it and this is the bumper that came with the car from the factory" He just sighed and walked away.

Oh yeah, I live in Cali too...

Yeah I was lucky like that for a while too, I went maybe 4 years without a front plate, and was never pulled over. Then I got pulled 3 times in one month, so it went in the windshield.

Plus Evo's arent the most inconspicuous cars either, some cops would love to have an easy reason to pull you over. They want to get you for driving a fast car, and see you have no plate, Yahtzee! (sp?) you get pulled.

I hate front plates period, they're pointless, and ugly, but I just got sick of dealing with the bullsh*t
