So how do you like your EVO IX..?
I love my IX soooo much more than the VIII. My 8 was a GSR and my 9 is a MR so theres a huge difference already. But the car overal in every single aspect is better. The 8 was a great launch in the states but they really perfected the Evo with the IX. The Engine is better, suspension, interior, drivetrain, looks. Everything.

I had the VIII MR and traded for the IX MR.I like the interior more and the power is much more responsive.I transfered my tbe and drop in filter.Both cars were tuned by the same tuner with the same mods.IX made 25 more hp and 32lbs more tq with 2 lbs less boost.Peak tq was 500rpms sooner(3200).Much better

I love my IX too. I feel for you though. I only have 700 miles on mine (still treating her like a baby). Can't wait til the break-in period is over.

this break in period is kill me too. haha.
i had just put a new clutch into my viii before i decided to sell, and hadn't finished breaking that in all the way, and now i am breaking in the new car, so i haven't been able to drive my evo's like evo's for a couple months now.
oh well, by the time it is broken in, it will be autoX season again and she will be already to go.
and yeah the 6spd rocks. i've never had a car with a 6spd before and i am enjoying it.
i had the viii and traded that for a truck and that lasted six month's and i bought a ix rs. first off i love the rs. the ix stock felt as strong as my viii with exhaust and a flash. i was running cams with meth in the ix before i put it away for the winter and 385 tq definatly feels alot stonger then the 280 or so i was running with viii. i just got in on the ams group buy and picked up a 50 trim kit. so this spring i think i will be a happy man.
I didn't own an evo VIII, but I've ridden in my friends plenty of times. I come from the STI world, and I love my new IX. My friends VIII seemed like it didn't have any torque, when compared to my STI. The XI feels way stronger than the VIII, especially on the low end.

Ever day when I leave work, wether I worked an 8, 12, or 16 hour shift, or no matter how ****ty the day was, walking across the parking lot and see'n my IX just waiting for me. I can't help but to smile and start feeling better. Behind the wheel and half way home I'm feeling great!!!

I have a VIII with minor bolt ons and my friends has a IX, his car still pull harder on the top end. Mines by all means has more tq and mid-range but love that high end. Thinking about trading my VIII for a IX.
