So how do you like your EVO IX..?
i like it alot actually. i just got my ix about 4 days ago, and haven't really had the chance to get to know her as well as i would have liked due to the crappy weather, but so far i am very happy with her.
i got a GG MR with the appearence package, zero lift kit, and all the other bells and whistles that come on the mr.
so far i have noticed that it feels to have more smooth power distribution from idle all the way up (going by the butt dyno here), and the handling seems more nimble and smooth. Not by a vast margin, but enough to make a difference in driving feel. Also the dampening seems to be a little better suited to street driving. it is a little more forgiving on bumps and uneven road.
i do miss my viii, i can be a very sentimental person when it comes to cars, but i am enjoying my ix more everyday.

I disliked my 2003 8, but I think thats mostly due to it breaking a lot. Went through a couple of transfer cases (wrong fluid in one, other sounded terrible, broke another at the strip). My 9 MR feels more refined and the engine/turbo combination are killer, the lag is barely noticeable. My only complaint is my damn second gear.. I hated my 2nd gear on my 03 and I hate my 2nd gear on my 06.
I like my 9 better than the 8.
Evo 8 was pretty good but the ride was a bit harsh at times.
I have a 9 MR and the Bilsteins help the car quite a bit.
I can really tell the difference between the regular suspension and the Bilsteins.
Another thing I like about the 9 is the response from the mods.
With just mininal mods you can have the car put down some very good numbers
depending on the tune.
The only thing I don't like about the 8 and the 9 is the clutch.
Engagement point is too damn high.

I come from the VW world with the last car being a 04.5 GLI that came with the 1.8T and 18" BBS. I was suprised at how refined the regular IX GSR ride was compared to the VW. It handles very well and as my daily driver, I dont feel beat up at all driving 60miles a day. Also a very relaxed and secure drive in snow.

Congrats Bro!!
I love my IX too. I feel for you though. I only have 700 miles on mine (still treating her like a baby). Can't wait til the break-in period is over.
BTW, Love the 6 speed!!

i got mine liek 2 month ago. compared to my Turbo charged RSX-s. it's kinda slow i think, but that's how i feel, maybe cause i am not used to AWD pull's or something, but my gf say it's fast so. but i love my IX
