Stock DV hose question

This could be dumb but I recently installed an AEM intake onto my car. I hate how the DV just sits in the hose provided. My question is that I can hear a very slight flutter if I am driving slow. I'm not sure its normal but I inspected the install and it seems like the line going from the DV back to the intake manifold is pinched. I have tried adjusting but i cannot tell if its good or not because of the padding around the hose. Is it okay for me to pick up new longer hose to extend the line so I can be sure its no longer pinched ? And could that be why I am hearing a very slight flutter ? thanks a lot
