Boost Question

Okay, I searched, but I don't really know what I'm searching for. I was recently tuned for 22 psi and while driving in 5th gear, at peak boost(which was roughly between 3500 and 5500 in the RPM range), my boost gauge sort of fluttered. The fluctuations seemed to be only about 1 PSI or so. Also, since I have an intake, I could hear a bit of flutter in the throttle. It doesn't seem like anything major, but the only thing I could think it could be was the stock DV not holding boost properly. Has anyone had this happen? I don't really feel like its a leak, since boost doesn't fall off, it just fluttered a bit. Any info would be great, thanks...

When I had this problem I just added a little gap to my spark plugs.... have you changed your's or are they stock... if it's stock you may want to do that free adjustable blow off valve DIY in here and see if that helps

Plugs are stock, and I was reading about the DIY and I don't know about that...I was thinking about getting the JDM MR DV anyway, maybe that will help

Was the fluttering 1 psi higher or lower. If it is higher its normal, a boost controller wont hold efficent boost in 5th because there so much load.

the diy worked great for me... I'd try it before you buy a mr dv just in case that isn't the problem... if it is then buy the valve but if it's not the problem you will need that $$ to fix the real problem

Its hard to say, because it seems higher, it looks like it could be 22.5 or so, but its hard to tell because from what I see, a lot of people boost higher in 5th, but I do attibute the flutter to there being more of a load in 5th. I figured it could be that, or maybe the diverter valve has a small leak at that load.
