it's a big service, and thankfully was covered under my free service contract on my 05.

I did it myself.. like $80 bucks... most of it came from buying the TC fluid

I'm sure mitsu would charge $400 ish since they wanted $200 just for changing my TC fluid.

I dont remember exactly but it was over $300. You have to figure if you Maintenance schedule is regular or severe. I like to think im on the regular service schedule/ Here is something to think about, I got one part of the 30,000 service done at TurboTrix here in NJ and it cost me a tick under $200 (about $196). This is only one part of the service because the manual also calls for : replace drive belts, change coolant, rotate tires. Hope this helps!

depends on your dealer, but I wouldn't just go ahead an assume they are cool with modifications. Many times people spend extra money on service contract and warranty extensions and all that jazz, and then find out its gone to waste because they have a catback.

Replace transmission fluid + LSD fluid + transfer case fluid + replace drive belt = $550 at Fresno Mitsubishi. Next time I'm going to buy the fluids at the dealership and have another shop here in Fresno do the work. I'm sure I can save a couple of hunnert that way. It only took the dealership about an hour.

yea i did it all myself.... at 30k miles i bought the following..

plugs.. $8
oil filter $5
oil $30
3qts of redline trans fluid $30
one jug of Diaqueen $45

im pretty sure that was all i did... i figure ill change my drive belt some time soon though.. i can get it for like $10....

so like $118 for my 30k service... but i did do it all myself with aftermarket fluids for the most part... you can save alot when you do it urself.. its very easy once you learn to get dirty.. lol

it's a real easy service to do yourself. The only thing specific to an evo is the 3 drivetratin lube changes. Unfortunately for me the MR trannies require mitsu specific oil which is $85 by the gallon. If you've got a 5 speed there's plenty of much cheaper options available though. Coolant and drive belts are no different from any other car. you should be able to do it in 2 hours if you take your time.
