Why do you sell your EVO's?
all of the above for me...except affording the car payment
Scene? Could you please explain exactly what that is to someone who bought the car to actually drive and not to decorate. I get the impression that it's a poseur gathering that revolves around a social aspect with the Evo being a substitute for having something intelligent to say. Perhaps I'm wrong.
I'm personally at $617 because my credit wasn't flawless... it was "Fair" due to my younger days of not caring about credit and having to rebuild it now...
I currently make $75,000/yr. Not too bad, but not amazing either. $600/mth may sound like a lot to some, but I'm able to afford the car on top of a $1,600/mth mortgage with no problems, personally...
Think about the people financing $100,000 cars. Their monthly payments are upwards of $1,500++. That's why I don't think that a $600/mth car payment is all that bad.
I think I do alright but I'm a little jealous all the lucky folks that can spring for a new Cosie crate motor, big turbos, Moton shocks, race trannys, difs motecs, etc... and still manage payments on top
I will however drive/own my 03' until one of us meets our demise. I can honestly say it is my current favorite car period, cost as no object.

I pay almost the same a month because of my credit, not that is bad just low, Plus I had to trade in my previous car, SO i ended up paying that much a month. BAD? I dont care i make enough, Plus why? EVO? AWD all season car thats #1 for me and first on the list. PLUS i can fix the car bymyself if something happens and do the maintnance because i know the car like my shoes.
so everything adds up ok. I bought the car in FEB 2005 i belive so another 3 more years to go, Hey its not a house loan for 30 years right ?
I just would like to own one day a caar that is fully paid off. People get rid of the evo's because of $ a month, college, life..Or they want something else. I just hope i can stick with mine, so far i got no problem with that car, nor the mods i installed, iam happy. Iam done with my bike payment NEXT year
so thats $150 in my pocket a month, not bad. I dont want to get rid of my sport bike neither :-dYou're not going to get a brand new Evo for anything under $500. If you financed $30,000 and had FLAWLESS credit and were able to negotiate a 6.5% interest rate for 72 months, your payment would be at $506.

paying 676 a month. make 35k a year.
around 2300 after tax a month to spend.
bills for me are rent, insurance, car, CC, phone. still have around 900 after all my bills are paid to get gas, eat, live. etc.

You must have had a trade-in or a nice sized down payment to knock the price down. It is mathematically impossible to finance a $30,000 car for 60 month's for under $500. $30,000 / 60 is $500! So that would be at a 0% interest rate.
$26,000 at 5.5% for 60 months puts you at a $496/mth car payment with $0 down. So, unless you had a car you traded in, or put a few thousand down, I don't see how your car payment is below $500.
