Why do you sell your EVO's?
It's lower than 5.5%? That's the standard interest rate in the US right now. I know it's possible to get a lower interest rate than that, but it's just not typical. My girlfriend has a 3.5% interest rate on her car, but it was due to a special Honda was having on Civic's at the time. If it wasn't for that special, even with her immaculate credit score, she would have paid 5.5%.
Scene? Could you please explain exactly what that is to someone who bought the car to actually drive and not to decorate. I get the impression that it's a poseur gathering that revolves around a social aspect with the Evo being a substitute for having something intelligent to say. Perhaps I'm wrong.

I can't speak for others, but I would get out of my Evo for a few reasons:
1) Tiring of the unforgiving suspension/road noise (even though I knew it was like that before I bought it).
2) The high cost of ownership (even though I can afford it).
3) The irresistable desire to try something new.
4) The nagging worry that something big is going to break and won't be covered under warranty.
5) The yearning, as I stand on the verge of middle age, for more interior refinements/creature comforts.
Sadly, though, I'm really attached to the darn thing and would miss it terribly if I let it go. I liken Evo ownership to a volatile relationship which, though most likely not good for your well-being, is too addicting to ever walk away from.

the people that wave at u from their evo or sports car is the scene.
this forum is the scene.
the meets are the scene.. street races, tracks, car shows.. all the scene. it comes with the car.
u can ignore it all but since ur on here i think that u dont.. at least not completely.
and maybe not for u but plenty of people get together that have the same car.

look at ntec that is having a superbowl party this weekend (a group in north tx). if some of those people (some girls) didnt have evos they prolly wouldnt be going out to that party. if u sell the car those people may still be ur friend but whether u like it or not not having the same car as them does kinda change things. if their cool it wont be in a negative way but its still different.
No thanks.
I think I'm trading mine for an '04 SVT Mustang w/ mods.
Reasons:
I'm just too old to drive this kind of car - every teenager either looks at or revs me.
I want a car without all the rattles.
I like low-end torque.
I want a car that doesn't sound like a chainsaw.
I no longer live where the roads are wet 310 days/year.
I'm tired of ridiculous insurance premiums.

2005 Evo - $576/mo. at 6.7% (tacked on some negative equity)
2006 Honda Pilot - $499/mo. (got this one at dealer cost) at 5.5%
2006 Toyota Corolla S - $411/mo. at 3.9% (aso tacked on some negative equity on her old car)
That's $1486 per month in car payments. Additionally, I pay for full coverage on all of the cars (including my ex-wife's car, because I'm a nice guy). Total insurance every month comes to $460. Throw in gas/maintenance and my vehicle costs every month well exceed $2000. However, I make over $100K/year so it's not too much of a strain.
Funny thing - not 10 years ago I personally vowed to never spend more than $300/month on a car.
Why are you trolling me? Do you want me to humiliate you again; is that what you're after? If you'd like to actually reply to something I'd said, I'm all ears, or eyes as it may be. Otherwise, this is just an example of an injured soul licking his wounds.
Give it up, we are not impressed by your bragging in the least.

What happened, did you run out of obtuse homosexual slurs?
Edit: Since you want to fight, go to OT, start a thread and shoot me the URL. I promise to make time for you. In turn, you have to promise not to complain, as per your pattern.

cj8718: my buddy has an 03 svt cobra with bolt-ons and sum. dyno'ed at 506whp and similar tq. but if you're getting out of the evo for "rattles", his interior doesn't even line up. cheaply built. fast as s*it tho.

Turbo BMW's are exciting. It's great that BMW finally gave us one from the factrory. The Scandinavians do some wild things with them... 800-1000 hp bimmers are not uncommon. The 335i is going to steal a lot of the M3's thunder.

. A few of our associates are really feeling that 335i
