one of my friend used to work at a Acura dealership, and he used to tell me how he drives customers car and rip on it after it's done with the service, i was like after that, i don't bring my turboed rsx to the dealership to get it serviced, only when i need to replaced something that is under warrenty, and i wait there.

Sorry to hear about this. Most likley some Idiot who gets paid min wage to drive the cars back and fourth, was joyriding in your car. You could go and complain to the manager, but they will do nothing! This is why I Never bring my car to the "STEALERSHIP"

I simply ask for the car not to be driven without me in it. It hasn't been a problem.

Dealership Woes

I'm sorry to hear bout the mysterious treatment you had regarding your Evo. Like many of our Evo brothers, I to understand how hard it is to find a trustworthy automotive specialist. I am very fortunate to have a personal ASE mechanic maintain my Evo. Due to a outstanding rapport built from over a decade honest quality automotive guidance and repair, I only trust him to work on my Evo and no one else (not even the dealership).

If I were you I would get as much information & facts regarding your woes before I'd start throwing fists and making demands. Remember the old addage about what happens when you assume. Try asking them (the service rep or mgr) the paint shop address, where the actual work was performed, and drive there yourself and gauge the milage and fuel consumption. Once you can confirm that the vehicle was in fact misused/abused then should you raise hell. Also, letters to the Better Business Bureau and manufacture would not be a bad idea, since it would serve as a documented report of poor customer care.

Lastly, when you decide to give them hell... be over dramatic and over-the-top. Good Luck my friend and keep us posted.

I would definately take the car to another dealership for future warranty work. I might even cut my losses and never deal with that first dealership again...never ever.

There is pretty good probability that someone working there drove your car, and possibly hard. When I was in high school I had 2 friends that worked at a dealership in Vegas down by the freeway, they would always tell me how they would take cars for joyrides on the freeway and try to hit 100 before the exit back to the automall. They would tell their manager that they are test driving it to make sure everything is in good working order.

I would def. be asking the dealer some questions about it. I would do it in a civil way to try and get things figured out. The whole cd thing would bug me by itself. You say you took your face plate with, then I would want to know who was screwing around with my stuff. A least make them aware of the situation.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the comments! I will definitely go back and at least ask what's going on. I wasn't able to today, and the service dept is closed tomorrow, so I will call them first thing on Monday.

I know it's "only" a car - but this particular car can end up costing me a lot of money for their 10 minutes of fun (not to mention it's just wrong)!

Thanks!

S.
