If I hadn't gotten her plate I'd be SOL, and out well over a grand in repairs. What does she get? A little nick on her insurance and nothing more. Meanwhile, I'm forced to spend the next few weeks dealing with insurance companies and trying to find the time to get this dent out of my car.

I'm slowly learning that people have absolutely no respect for other people's property, nor the rules of the road (as in my case). And while damage may not look that bad upon first inspection, the heartache and hassel attached with it are what really hit you the hardest.
I agree 100%. For me its the fact that someone took the time damage my property, because they are jealous or just like being a ***** to people. I don't go to work everyday and make money to pay for the things I like to have, like my car, so some idiot can come along and damage it.

Lima is kind of a ****hole as it is. Sorry to hear that someone's got the goad to hit your ride though, I thought most of them there were toothless hicks. heh

Agreed. We all work hard to keep our car's nice, and seeing one messed up always makes me think of the bill for repair - even if it's close to total. What's worse, is here our body/paint labor rates are only $40 - $42 at best - and I know that other areas (IE: Cali has ~$70 rates) charge much higher, meaning our cars total that much faster.

Sad that people need to resort to petty theft for a couple hundred bucks.

I always thought Scarsdale was a pretty good area?

Well it looked nice when I picked up my Acura there.

I hope everything comes out OK for you

Come live in an area that gets snow and salt and ask that question.

Ohio/PA/NY/NJ/All of New England all use TONS of salt to prevent ice.

You wouldn't understand living in Atlanta...

I know you were kidding but I was answering seriously because it takes major ***** to "accept" that your car will be that dirty for 4-5 months. Just like all us NE USA owners do.

I know exactly how you feel. My car was broken into the same way less than 2 weeks ago. ***** stole my $120 head unit that I had just put in, and ripped apart my dash in the process. I couldn't give a sh*t about the stereo, but the fact that someone trashed my car by breaking the window and breaking stuff in my dash really pisses me off, all for nothing. My $300 oakleys, radar detector, bluetooth headset, and a bunch of other stuff were left on the seats in the car. How does that make sense? Obvious just a completely stupid a**hole.
