I think I lucked out and got a good tech who has been with Mitsu since 96. Young guy, into modding, and knew about this issue on evos. I drove it, then he drove it. Basically said 5th gear was shot. 3rd didn't act up like it usually does. And my gears were warmed up because I ran the car for an hr. prior to bringing it in. He said he would take my word for it and order all new synchros for gears 2-5 and order a new 3rd and 5th gear. They ordered all the parts today and my appt. is next Tues. They said they might need the car for 2 days. Overall I'm pumped.
--I was just so damn afraid of the dealer denying my claim after reading all the horror stories on here!
Quick question??? Will there be any break in period after the fix or will it be good as new right out of the box?
