Hey guys I have been going through problems with my car and found out that my hotside was cracked. My idle was very bad up and down up and down and I was wondering would an exhaust leak cause a dip in the IDLE?

 

my car is doing the samething!does it turn off sometimes?

 

not to my knowledge.. but what do i know? my dsm did idle about 100rpms lower from a leaking turbo-to-exhaust manifold gasket..? i think not sure it was a while ago...

 

It never shutoff but it drops drastically. even my boost gauge is dropping in vaccum

 

do you smell the exhaust leak in-cabin?

 

sound like you have a vacum leak i bet you the egr hoses behind the throtle body are off,or one of the hoses!
they come off real easy there are 3 or 4 of them.

 

i smell fuel in the cabin area dont really know what the exhaust leak may smell like

 

it smells just like it does comin from the ***-end of your car..

it's a vacum leak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

This could very likely be the culprit. Most of the times I heard of those hoses popping off it threw a CEL

also I have all my mods in my sig except i flash my computer back to stock because I was having overboosting issues not only that I found out my hotside flapper broke off and went in and out of my exhaust. i was having an issue hitting boost I would nopt start boosting until 5.5k+ and me and the master teh think the broken 10.5 is the culprit. im reinstalling my 9.8 hotside
