warranty issues

hey guys, right now im so pissed off at due to the fact that hte lower lip on my evo 8 is coming off on the driver side. i take them the color code etc. they have the lip in stock. so i think everything is fine since its only under warranty. keep in mind this car is only two months old barely since we have had it. i love this car but im seriously pissed at for the service departments not following the warranty. when i purchased it i was told all the warranty stuff. 5 yr bumper to bumper. so i go to do the paperwork so they can paint the lip & put it back on. i walk into the dealership & the service manager told me to have some shop paint its which is complete BS. if hte car is covered under warranty it should be covered with paint etc. im gonna call mistu myself this morning. its ridiculous you buy a 30k car & you get treated like ****. mistu warranty -->

I love how people blame for all the problems they experience with dealers. You talked to whom? The Service Manager? And he's a voice of Corporate? Umm, no. He's no different than talking to a produce manager at a grocery store and then blaming the entire chain for a problem with lettuce.

corporate should clean house and get rid of scum bag dealerships people. The dealers are what gives a bad name. I have not yet to find a professional dealership.

Well I happen to be one of those "scumbag" service people you are refering to and it's unfair to bash everyone because of your unpleasant experience. There is probobly a reason they are not covering your front lip under warranty, possible there may be evidence that you hit something.

Just remember not to bite the hand that takes care of you!

Well I gotta go now, it's time to go stock the lettuce back on the shelves.

Ok, that would be one. Fireball, we gotta all meet up sometimes at some driving school and hang out afterwards for the midwest evo club gathering. Perhaps team up with STi people since some of our buddies switch teams and went Subaru.

I hope you are referring to 1/4 mile because I seriously cant think of how a GSX can "kill" or even tie the evo in any other category.

why is the front lip coming off? is it a factory defect? if so, then you have a good point, and they should replace it ASAP

if you hit something, and expect them to pay your repair bill, welcome to the place call 'reality'

let us know how it turns out...

1/4 mile times are all I care about. That seems to be what everyone is always bragging about on here anyways. Then again how often do you get to race someone through the cones on the streets, or do you ever here that someone out braked someone up at the "strip"

nothing was hit on the car. there are not scratches under the lips or on the sides etc. personally i dont care what you do. & yes i do get to say what i want. ive already called mitsu customer service dept & complained. and as for biting the hand the feeds me. remember dont bite the customer back because they dont have to come back for you. remember its the customer thats always right to some. but nothing was hit. the poor clips that held it to snap. once again to the decent dealerships ---> to the ones that screw over people
