The fact that iv had the car for 1k miles and its already spit out the 5 speed that was in it and reverse just went out of the 6 speed i put in it i guess this car thinks im made of money

 

They have fixed most problems in this thread with the X...and yet we have X owners complaining about how it's to comfortable and all. Just gotta take the good with the bad

 

Hitting up this old thread.

1. Drinks gas like a truck...lol

2. Cruise Control-I know you can buy it but sucks you would have to do that.

3. Noisey ride

4. Keeps taking my money...lol

5. Weak stock T-case/Tranny-Reason why mine isn't stock anymore...lol

6. Takes more of my money

7. Rear Seats doesn't fold down

8. HVAC-Well mine is a 03 with that mess getting stuck in a position

9. Having to turn a knob to adjust your Recaros. Racing seat thing but still don't like it.

10. A lot of items fade to easily (Paint, Calipers, etc....)

Even though I hate these things, it honestly took me like 45 minutes to think of all of it....lol I LOVE it more than hate.

This is so true. 1 question, how come this is one of the most popular cars mitsubishi has but they dont know Jack Ish about it?...lol

 

Because it isn't their most popular... Proof of that is in the "Is that a Subaru Evo?" and other similar threads. Outlander, Eclipse, and Lancer are the "popular" Mitsu vehicles.

 

It's popular among tuners and car enthusiasts, but in no way to the average car consumer. Their best selling cars are the Outlander and Lancer base models, which is why when you go to a Mitsubishi dealership they know nothing about Evos (although some parts guys and mechanics know a lot).

Back to the topic the main things I hate besides the glove box are.

1. crazy loud noises and clunky suspension when cold.
2. cheap clearcoat on the wing and the attention the wing gets
3. cheap paint used on the vehicle
4. weak TC and stock clutch

Other than that I love it.

 

After having my 03 Evo for 4 years now here are my complaints (which mirror most everyone else's):

1. Paint. I hate the single stage paint Mitsu used
2. Wing Clearcoat - Mine finally started flaking off about a year ago
3. No Cruise Control

 

Great list. Those are basically my gripes. Of course if I wanted something more civilized I would have bought a bmw.

 

I think about that all the time considering EVO's are the same price as most BMW's up here in Canada. Glad I went with the EVO though.

 

I dont regret buying it because it's the car I WANTED

 

Turning a knob for the seat adjustment. I also hate the stealership experience where they try to find mods to disqualify your car from warranty.
