door panel removal worth it?

my debit card was on the passenger door sill and it fell through the slit. will this cause any damage to the motor for the window or any wiring. is it worth it to pop open the door panel. and if i do take the door panel off, how easy is it. i saw a door panel removal for an evo rs in the how to section but was wondering if it was the same for an evo with power windows.

thanks

The motor for the power window unit is pretty much sealed, so I find it hard to believe that your card would cause problems with that. I guess its possible that the card can get jammed somewhere and interfere with the window going up and down... but thats about it.

that being said, it takes only about 10 minutes to remove and replace the door panel. do a search, there are several how to's about this.

it's easy and worth it. do it. all you'll need are a few simple tools like a pick and a screwdriver as well as some common sense about how to take stuff apart.

I'm sure that someone has done a writeup about how to install speakers in the doors, so I'd recommend finding that thread if you need specific instructions.

Pretty much most of the panels inside Evos and Lancers can be easily removed and put back in place by one person. Just remember not to lose any screws and other small pieces

all you would need to do is just pop out the bottom of the panel and the card should fall right out.....no need to take the whole thing off

Its Relatively simple to remove the door panel, but you can leave the car in there. At its worst it will make noise and annoy you.

lmao funny story

i would just leave it down there, call the credit card company n get a new one..

if it starts to make noise (which it probably will) and annoy the hell out of u.. then remove the panel n get it

theres a swew by the handle, theres one in the cup looking thing that you pull to close the door, and a couple towards the front portion of the car with caps.. take those off then pull from the bottom upward and itll kinda peel off... its all feel.. cant really break it.. once you have every off you need to pul upwards to get it off the window part.

cheers!
