Power windows and door locks into an RS

dont know where to post this exactly but Ill try here 1st I guess...I have a IX RS and have an opportunity to install power windows and door locks from a wrecked evo. The question I have is what will I need in order to to do the swap from the car w/ power windows and door locks to my RS? If possible start a list or point me in the right direction w/ a link on what parts Ill need to swap, ie: door panels, switches, motors, relays, etc....

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would say remove everything from the wrecked Evo doors (assuming they are cosmetically damaged, if not, just swap doors) and put them in your doors. It seems like all the necessary harnesses are there, just unused.

Best bet is to give it a shot and post about it. Be the first.

i helped my friend out with this(it's a 1 man job so he did most of the work since it's his car). he also has a IX rs.

u need to get all the wiring from the wrecked evo. also the actuator and everything that connects to the actuator for the power locks. u will also need the power window motor and door panels.

also u will need the relay located under the steering wheel. i forget which one it is but if you look at your and his you will be able to tell which one you are missing.

This is a pretty easy mod. it only took like 30 mins to do one door. just make sure you have all the wiring and the relays for the power windows

You basically have to gut your doors and replace everything. The RS isn't exactly set up to just add the motors like it is set up for a stereo.

yup. tho it does have all the holes you will need to use.

the rear doors on the other hand. not as easy b/c there are no pre drilled holes for the wiring.

ok i just did my rs. heres what you need.

the harness that connects to the speakers and stuff
window motor
door panels with switches
the power window relay (look at your fuse box under the dash, their will be two relays at the top. you will need the relay that goes to the far left)

i got my windows to work but i ran out of time, and i still need to figure out why the locks aint workin. right now my back doors are gonna stay manual. dont have the tools to make the holes for the harness. but everyhting will bolt right up. the window motor replaces the manual hand crank thingy.

Do any of you who did this swap to power windows/locks still have your old RS manual interior that I could buy off you? PM if you do.
