If I could trade my '04 VIII for a IX without losing my a$$ on the deal I would do it in a heartbeat. Not because I am jumping on the bandwagon, but because a IX will make the same numbers camless as an VIII with the same mods and cams. Also my buddy got his VIII tuned with a BR3065 and a IX with the exact same mods made more power and spooled 500RPM quicker. Quick spool alone sells me on the MIVEC.

Mivec is the way to go for the average daily driver for all out racing I think there are no real benefit to the IX right now

If it were me it would depend on if i was the only owner of the 05, if i was i would keep it because its still an amazing car and it has less miles and you know everything thats been done to it. If not then i would take the ix if you knew it was in good condition.

Your car is a year older and has 5k less than that car. No way I would trade

How much difference? If any - then stay with your car... I assume you bought it new, right?
