Need a bit of advice!
Theres a guy on dcevoclub.com that has all the bolt ons, cams, exhaust, etc.. that has well over 150k on his 03 VIII. Forget his SN, but he takes care of his car does the routine mauntence and everything is fine.
Dont believe it when people say this is not a high mileage motor, because its really no different than any other quality engine from japan. They reason you hear about people blowing up and these other horror stories is because some are under the assumption that the engine is indestructable because of the evos reputation. Just like any other car, if you mistreat it things will break and if you take proper care it will last for a long time.

My 03 is with me also no giving her up. We have came a long way her and I. + IX's dont scare me any more especially since I owe alot less than I would if I owned a IX. However once the ten has been out a year or so that may be a different story
I agree with you....I went to dealer once to see how much they will give me for my VIII. After that I said screw it. I have 40K miles on mine, it's not too bad. Did all the maintanance, took care of everything, why would I get myself in greater debt. For $36xxx, like MR costs I can have one hell of an evo with the go and looks
