it must be hit n miss.
cause my previous evo8 didnt make this loud noise......
now on my evo9 makes loud whining noise......
its not fair,,,,, why? why ~! WHY~~~???

i installed carefully on both cars.
it is must be something wrong with internal parts on walbro fuel pump......
maybe sound deadning is missing internally

 

get some dynomat and put it over your cover in the rear seat...this may help.

The Walbro is much louder than stock. There is not really much you can do to stop the noise. Every one I know that has one says the same thing. Its loud.

 

its a good thing to have a loud fuel pump ...atleast u wil always know if its on or not...

 

you shouldnt have to take it out. the walbro is louder, take off the rear seat cover and turn the car on acc, or prime it and listen u can deff tell the difference, if u have any car knoweldge
