Smile Here's some more rumors to stir things up...

Hopefully the bbs works. A fews times I was getting error when I would go there.

If this info is true then that would suck IMO. I think the Evo 7 is already watered down as far as looks go... making it even tamer and prcing it at over $30K is just too much to me.

that's gonna suck...btw...u read the rest of the thread...i wanna punch them in the face...i m not an "all-americana" person but u can always exceed the speed limit...even on the autobahn there are now sections which has limited speed and not just recommended speed...and the highway might be mostly straights but local roads can be challenge...plus they haven't race every racer in the US yet how are they suppose to know that people can't drive? what a bunch of closed-minded ignorant mofoes

Yeah, there's always a bunch of ignorant fools in every group. I guess they're just used to obeying the traffic laws when it comes to speed

Either way, I could care less about there opinion as long as I can get an Evo down here and drive it everyday

If it were to be detuned, how can Mitsubishi justify a price over $30K? I don't believe this guy for a second.

Mitsubishi would not charge much more than the price of an STi. They would have no market. Not many people would pay $30k+ for a detuned model, when they could just get a WRX for ~$23-24k and keep the rest of the money. $30k+ means they would be going after the S4 and 330, which the EVO cannot touch in luxury. Most Americans would say $35k for Mitsubishi or for a BMW, and they would get the BMW.

you know it's gonna be the same price as the wrx around the same hp....mitsu will make it just a little better than the wrx. a few dollars cheaper or a couple extra hp. it'll be a virtual copy of the wrx in specs. mitsu doesn't want to subaru to get all those sales. you'll see i may be right for once....if i'm not you shouldn't be listening to a talking dog anyways =p

I'd like that more, as long as the engine is internally the same , but maybe a smaller IC, differnet ECU, etc. With the extra money you could easily get it to 300hp or more.

Even the new WRX is pretty fast with a few mods... imagine an engine built for 300hp daily, but detuned to 230-240hp

Yeah if the engine can handle it u can just get a boost controller and run the turbo at a higher PSI when ur gonna race someone and get a new exhaust and all those other goodies... but i dont think it will be over 30k for the car or else people would just buy them selves a WRX...
