how to make a free flowing quite 3" exhaust lots of pics!!!!

a muffler is useed to quiet down the exhaust. the bigger the muffler the more quiet the exhaust will be
i use to have an expelir cat back untill today. that thing was so loud is was slowly causing me to go deaf.

why are evo's loud?

evos are loud because 95% of aftermarket exhaust use round mufflers (fart cans) with a 6-7 inch diameter and only a 14inch body. these round mufflers are not big enough to quiet down the exhaust. aftermarket exhaust also like to rip off the consumer by charging $500 for a catback. the evos exhaust is already reallt straight with only very few bends at the back.
to make a quite free flowing exhaust you want to run the largest straight through oval muffler you can fit. on my 500whp integra i run the magnaflow 5x11 oval with a 22 inch body with no resoranators or cats with full 3"turbo back and the exhaust is silent. too bad this muffler is too big to fit for the evo

best muffler show in so cal. these guys are profeshional nhra drag racers that work on countless sub8 secound cars. the owner has a 7-8 second 1000-14000hp rx3 and a 10 secound all motor rotory car

the car is basicaly silent now. you cant even hear the exhaust any more. all you hear is the turbo spool and the forge divertey valve. i'. also sure this makes more power than my old expiler because the expelir neks down to like 2 inches at the resonator.

i hope i helped to inform people that a free flowing 3" exhaust does not have to be loud. and please ppl stop wasteing your money by spending $500-1k on exhaust systems. these companies are just talking you for all your work for pipes and a muffler than does not even cost them $200 to make. stop leting these companies rip you off

Not sure what you mean by free-flowing, but that will not be a powerful exhaust. You're really going out of your way to cheapen your Evo. I'm surprised you have such expensive cams, intake, and ebc.

my goal was to make a free flowing exhaust that was not loud and i did just that.
like i said most evos are horiabiably loud. i use to have the expelir and it was so loud you couldent even hold a conversation in the car. also this will make more power than my old espelir because the expelir neks down to 2.5 at the flange and the whole resonater on the expelir was less than 2.5 on the inside.
this is a full 3" straight through exhaust that is silent!!!

Perhaps you could borrow a stocker with a test pipe and dyno that vs. your design to get a true reflection of what improvement your design has to offer?

i would not waste my money and my hks evc and hks intake. they are a rip off. i only have them because i bought the car with with. if it were me i would make my own intake pipe for $50 bucks and run a mbc

why would it not be powerful? turbulence in the gas-flow?

hes just mad that i know better than to get riped off and by over priced exhaust such as most big name companies

i gaurantee this exhaust will make as much power of not more power then more of the big name exhaust because this is a true straight through 3 inch system and is almost as straight and can be with minimal bends.

hks, espelir and a lot of other exhaust are not full 3 i nch piping. many of them neck down to 2.5 or smaller at the flange and many of them are 2.5 or smaller inside the resonaters and mufflers

i'm sure the burchers bullet exhaust will make more power thas this because its a full 3" system with no resonators and a tiny straight through muiffler. but i gaurantee you with no resonators and a muffler that small the exhaust will be super loud

Is that a cat or another resonator in the test pipe section?

I have to say I'm pretty impressed. That definitely looks like a great option for people who want a good quality exhaust along with a quiet noise. Any idea how it compares to the stock noise level? I wonder if this exhaust is under 93db? Nonetheless, it looks like a great job, and will make just as much power as those more expensive alternatives.

He's got multiple resonators, but he's making guarantees that it's as powerful as any exhaust with not a shred of evidence. I guess all that muffled sound in no way restricts air flow. Amazing. This is just like his Ebay FMIC thread...a complete joke.

Nice exhaust. Looks very stock and definitely less expensive than other brands. Good job on a DIY design. Dont worry about the haters some one is always gonna bash what you make or design yourself and try to make you feel stupid.
