Regreting the SSL package
Actually this isn't quite right either. It's:
IX (Some people Say GSR but I don't think that was an official US designation. Could be wrong here).
IX with SSL package
IX SE is an IX with the AL roof, diamond BBS forged wheels, a unique front lip, red stitched seats, and a couple other things from the MR, and a SE badge - but retained the 5 speed and this is why many love this model. Performance goodies from the MR, but the strength of the 5 speed.
IX MR with Appearance package. Everyone calls this an IX MR SE, but it was not an SE technically. It's a typical MR with the SE front li, red stitched seats and diamond BBS wheels.

...it won't help. There's barely enough volume in the enclosure, there's no driver sensitive enough to be driven by the stock amp in this config, and given the guy's car, pretty much any audio endeavor is pointless. His GT35R/cams/exhaust produce enough low-frequency energy, not counting the car itself, to effectively cancel out any real bass when the car is moving.

My old thread is back...
Well, I'm still whinning a little about the sunroof, but I enjoy the damn car so much that it has less relevance. I traded my leather interior a couple months after this thread for a mint Evo 8 interior. I'm much happier with it and I think it looks great with an Electric Blue Evo. The HIDs are the bees knees, I hate driving the S14 without them.
Maybe one day if I have $2,000 to completely throw away, I'll get the AMS roof or maybe even the factory aluminum roof.

The only thing I dislike about the SSL is the leather. Sure the Recaros look amazing in leather but its just not my cup of tea. Other than that I definitely love the HIDs and the sunroof. Very nice to have in Hawaii

I have an 04 with the SSL and I love it. I hated the way the 8 seats looked and I love the HIDs and the sunroof is mandatory for me. This kid came up to me and was like you know that sunroof adds like 45lbs and I just looked at him and replied "its not like this is a civic where I HAVE to worry about weight"....
