Alarm for the EVO?

Anyone put an alarm in the EVO yet? I bought a pager alarm and going to install it once I get my vehicle along with the turbo timer.

Link not working. How much you pay for your alarm?

What exactly comes factory on the EVO? I know it's keyless and they have some mention of ignition disabling but I wasn't sure what exactly that meant.

Wow, you guys must be smart poeple. I would rather spend the $200 to have someone install it for me. All that wire routing and hiding would be too much work for me. PLus, knowing me, I'd probably break something.

For alarms, I would stay away from "no-name" brands like AsianWolf because of their cheesy quality and no tech support. If you want an alarm with a pager and lcd screen try the Python 880xp found at www.dei.com, my friend has this on his supra. It's range is incredible(miles!)
I have the Clifford Advantguard 4(flagship model.) With omni-sensor, tilt sensor, proximity sensors, smartwindow4, intellistart, self-powered siren, dataport and most importantly WIRELESS IMMOBILIZER. This is one of the best alarms on the market, check it out www.clifford.com. AG4 can only be installed by authorized dealer.
Both these alarms are expensive, but the most important part is to get a good install. Do not be cheap on the install!
But in reality, if a professional wants your car bad enough they will get, probably with a flat bed truck Alarms are to keep away amateur thieves and gawking teenagers

I had a Viper alarm installed in the car, with shock, glass, and door pin sensors. An alarm is just a deterent, if somebody wants the car or contents they will get it regardless how much you pay for your alarm. I just want the chance to unload a clip or two in their direction as they are loading it on the flatbed.

Because of past occurences, I really have to say that I cant trust people that do installs. Come on most people that do installs are usually shady people who got that job becuase they knew how to do weird **** with wiring. I dont know which ever way you go you end up losing that bit more security.

I went with an Alpine. Used them for years and like them (reliable, few falses). I always have alarms pro installed (personally anyway). I have a couple of installers that I have known for a long time and trust immensely.

I have a python 880xp on mine love it so far. I paid 650 for it installed. Took 2 hours to install (normally 4-5 but we had everyone working on it haha). Range is 2 miles on the pager.

The Cliford alarm spoke of earlier also has a turbo timer option. This could save money if you're looking into buying an alarm and timer. I went to an audio shop. They have a computer program, input my EVO and it suggested the Concept 600 Cliford, which has been updated since then. Check the web site, www.cliford.com
