No way thats totaled. Id'd guess-ta-mate about $12,000 to fix. Well under the blue book value. Insurance will always go the cheapest route. sucks.

 

thats goofy man.. so something on public property cant be photographed?

1) he should not have wrecked his car.
2) he should have had his car towed and stored "inside a garage" (if he didnt want pictures taken of it.)

Totaled? It's tough to say, most of it is just cosmetic, but that quarter looks like it might have some structural damage underneath. I would say it is HIGHLY unlikely that any insurance adjuster would total that out. Not unless the tech try's to tell him otherwise. Bottom line, cars like that are repaired everyday, it's simple. I see things way worse that get fixed. Saw a Kia that was stuffed to the back doors. Not totaled. A KIA! Now, think of the evo...

 

Ouch!

 

My friend took my car out for a spin last night, and smashed it into a curb. Needs a new rim, fender, bumper, lip, fender lining, sideskirt and I haven't looked underneath the car yet but the axle popped out and the wheel was facing the opposite way the other was, and probably a mangled control arm . Sorry for the slight jack, just had to vent.

 

P.S. The car only has 3800 miles on it.

I let all my friends drive my car, at the end of the day it is just a car. But it just sucks lol. He's paying for all the damages also.
