Evo 7 owners please help us out. Some of us Evo 8 owners ordered the JDM "EVOLUTION VII" trunk emblem and want to put it on our turnk (without the VII of course). The measurement we need is the distance from the bottom of the trunk lid to the bottom of the letter (U) , and the distance between the characters (O and N). Please do the measurement in cm or mm, since it's more accurate than in inches.

Also, for those people who have experience putting on badges, what kind of double sided tape or glue should be used so the badges would stay on real good?

I have the emblem on my 8 already, It already comes with the adhesive tape installed and the letters are already spaced properly.

you just need to space and center the strip far enough under the
triple diamond emblem and move the letters above one by one. I did this with some normal masking tape and ran it across the trunk using the body line in the middle of the trunk lid.

No on in the US have their EVO 7's.........still . You will have to get the measurement from someone who has one outside the US.

I happen to have a copy of that page from the shop manual.

Edit: But in comparing this to the picture of the yellow Evo above, it doesn't look quite right; the centerline cuts the "U" in the above picture. Maybe mitsu changed the spacing after the initial release of the car.
