Well yesterday after getting off of work. I was driving out of the parking lot. A car started to pull out of the parking spot so I stopped my car and honked because the car was pretty close to my car, the car kept backing up so I layed on my horn. Still the car proceeded to back up even more so I was intermidently honking my horn and just as I feared, she hit my car. I think my heart dropped through my pants at that point. She said she didnt see me and I asked her if she heard my honking my horn like crazy. She said no. I think she was talking on her cell phone none the less I come to find out she is 16. I have no problem with young drivers, just the ones that dont know how to drive, or that dont pay attention to the things around them. The hood got a small crease and needs to be realigned, my front bumper is off kilter, the fender is pushed out and the bracket that attaches it to the front bumper is broken, the front bumper has dips scrapes and paint missing fron where she actually hit me. Its not horrible and the people that have seen it so far say its not that bad, but I feel otherwise. I am going to talk with her insurance company estimator.... hopefully everything goes well...

Allow me to extend the deepest condolences for the stupidity of a young girl- cell phones and driving should be illegal!! It's not in NC and I have had several incidences of dumbasses on cell phones

I hope everything works out for you, I almost had an old lady hit my car, I found a free parking spot so I pulled into it, like 30 seconds later I see an old lady backing into the same spot I'm in, I was honking my horn but she kept coming, I put it in reverse and she came inches from hitting my car...she looked at me like she was pissed, she's the one that didn't check if the spot was taken or not lol

 

She had to have been talking on her cell phone or something. Hopefully her insurance will pay out.

could be worse, I drove past a driveway with a Nissan Xterra in it. I honked as I approached just in case. When I thought I was past the driveway.

I was also hit by a young girl on a cell. Taking my car to the bodyshop this week to get it fixed. I know how you feel. Good Luck!

that suck man....did you yell at her and make her cry??? I had a buddy do that in a Lowe's parking lot. I felt bad for the poor girl til I saw the estimate...

well hopefully you get it all sorted out...you'll probably get a new hood out of it since there's a crease. Aluminum isnt easy to fix. just make sure you take it to a reputable body shop that wont try to screw you....good luck
