I dont know what it is, but when people get in parking lots its like war. They dont care if they have to hit you and run over a pedestrian they are gonna do what they want!
Same thing kind of happened to me with my old maxima. I was waiting for a spot as a car was backing out she was getting close to my car I honked as you did. Its didn't matter she kept backing up and then she backs into my car looks in the rear veiw mirror and she puts her hands up like owell and then procceded to drive off.
Well yesterday after getting off of work. I was driving out of the parking lot. A car started to pull out of the parking spot so I stopped my car and honked because the car was pretty close to my car, the car kept backing up so I layed on my horn. Still the car proceeded to back up even more so I was intermidently honking my horn and just as I feared, she hit my car. I think my heart dropped through my pants at that point. She said she didnt see me and I asked her if she heard my honking my horn like crazy. She said no. I think she was talking on her cell phone none the less I come to find out she is 16. I have no problem with young drivers, just the ones that dont know how to drive, or that dont pay attention to the things around them. The hood got a small crease and needs to be realigned, my front bumper is off kilter, the fender is pushed out and the bracket that attaches it to the front bumper is broken, the front bumper has dips scrapes and paint missing fron where she actually hit me. Its not horrible and the people that have seen it so far say its not that bad, but I feel otherwise. I am going to talk with her insurance company estimator.... hopefully everything goes well...

yeah well her insurance company is gonna be pissed cause i can already tell you its gonna cost them about $2500...i know because i have been in 2 fender benders...
a new fender is about $450 dollars in itself and your hood and bumper are messed up...plus you have to get it painted...tell them to reevaluate the cost
damn, i hope you can get it looking brand new again at least.

If the girl was on her cell phone when she hit you, she should have her licensed suspended/revoked. If you think she was on the phone, pursue it... get her *** in (more) trouble! We would all be better off with one less incompetent driver on the streets.

Just so you know, its illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to talk on a cell phone while driving in the state of Illinois. cell phone driving ban
