Another evo violated :(
In 1994, my very first new car was violated in almost the exact same way. Some idiot backed out of a parking lot into my new car (still didn't have plates). Consider yourself lucky, the jerk that hit me claimed that I rear ended him to his insurance company. We exchanged info, and he seemed cooperative, and then he had the nerve to pull that crap on me. Long story short, don't trust anyone after an accident. Get the police there however you can, even if you have to lie and say that someone might be hurt.
Shoulda given her the what-for. Make her scared of using that damn cell phone of her's in her car.
As for what insurance companies "Forget" to looking at stuff...
Alot of times, the adjuster is some punk kid who doesn't know a left fender from a left door. And they typically just use the pictures for reference to write their precious little estimate.
Granted, there are times where something small is missed, and it isn't realy the adjuster's fault. (Re: like those little foam squares that the bumpers have in them)
