Express down windows

Has anyone looked into the ability to express down all windows. can one take the double switch mechinism for the drivers side window, run a few jumpers to the other switches to by pass the other 3 switches and just give it a down signal and express down all windows? could a relay be iserted then to express them all up on the return trip. any electricians out there?

hmmm, anything that you can do with a switch, you can get a relay to do....

I will have to pull the drivers door switch and do some testing. It can definatly be done though...

I will report back with my findings.

you could use a relay/actuator for any of the other windows but you run into a problem with that. Some people who have figured out how to do this have put them in their own cars (me included, I even wired it up to my sunroof) The problem wiht these is they are VERY fineky... meaning if its cold or if moisture gets into the sending unit, you activate the control... which I had linked into my alarm remote. They all work on resistance, so if its cold or whatever a lot of the time it will sence resistance and stop or even go back down. Kind of a pain in the a$$ if you ask me but ya, thats my take on it.

hrmm... If anybody does figure out a good way to do this, let me know! I've been trying to find some info on here and posted before and nobody had a take on it. Good idea though. Simple things in life that make you happy haha.

well I know dei makes a window automation control unit which will give you the power to roll 2 widows up or down via the remote, and will also give you 1 touch up and down...

Weather will have no effect using this method..
