Are you POSITIVE there was oil on the ground as well? This sounds very much like the recall problem 2005's had with the coolant hose... Check it out, might get lucky: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ghlight=recall

Yes this is a very good investment. Decent price, exactly along the lines of what you are looking for.

Plus this is a bad azz motor, it's the motor that Curt Brown ran deep into the 10's with on the stock turbo; plus it can rev to the moon. Though this motor did end up letting go in Curt's car, after a ton of abuse.

wow didnt hear about that... and yes i'm 140% sure it was oil and antifreeze. thanks a bunch for the link. unfortunately due to my best friend's father gone missing (long story don't care to write cliff notes either) i had my hands full tonight. tomorrow afternoon she comes home, going to take pictures up the ***, as well as bring a guy from a VW shop around the block to take a look. I know its a VW repair place, but they work on race cars and i've seen a share of boosted audi's, lexus', etc. there, plus the guys always have "got boost?" shirts on so they'd know a lot more then me.

if i need a new head i'm definately picking up the one i had in the link. eh, i'm just happy that i'm safe and didnt cause anyone else on the road any harm from what happened.

Thanks for all the support guys

When you take some pictures here's some ideas for you.

1) bottom of the block under the manifold
2) Oil Pan shot as i posted
3) behind the engine (if you can reach) so we can see the block
4) Picture of the cams with cover off
5) Picture of the timing belt assembly

i think you left out one important little detail. you missed a SHIFT! yep... its not hard to miss 5th from 4th and by accident you shoved it into 3rd come clean dude...hey it happens to the best of drivers, except you blew the motor.

i think the proper way to phrase this would be did you miss your shift. and no i didnt because i didnt try to shift.

thanks i'll try and get all of these angles this afternoon. you can see a part of something resting on the back of the engine so its aparent something got blown out royally. i found a local friend who has an evo block, but i dont have the funds to get it fixed up and back on the road right now, so she's going to be in the driveway for a little bit. oh well, guess my mileage wont go up this way...
