innovate wideband prolem help
well installing it into another car is way pointless. i already put a new sensor on the lc-1. so it must be somthing after the sensor. nice to know i spend 350+ on somthing that lasted a year. i hope innovate helps me fix this problem or relaces something if its bad.
350.00 for lc-1 and xd 16
80.00 for new sensor
joy - priceless

yes and no. 1st i looked. then i started the car and again looked. i used my hands to feel for a leak. then i used a 1/2 hose and put one end to my ear and the other on each part that can have a leak. i did not here anything. then i retorqed everything and did it again to make sure. and again. nothing.
The wideband readings in evodans car is the same on the xd-16 as it is in evoscan and logworks. So its not the gauge freaking out. He is putting in another persons car today to see if its with the lc1 itself or his car.
Hi,
A simple check if exhaust leaks cause false readings at idle is to simply push a towel against the tailpipe. Don't push too hard, you don't want to stall the engine. Just enough to create positive pressure in the exhaust system. This positive pressure will prevent exh. leaks to pull in outside air. If your WB readings change significantly when you create pressure, you have a leak.
