Ouch. Filing a claim with DOT takes forever. You are better off just going through your insurance, and let them handling the rest. Usually they would go after the DOT, but reimburse you first. I remember hitting a pot hole with my G, bent the wheel

sorry about your mishap, and i agree with amstel you should file a complaint with the Florida DOT. They will reimburse you for the damages. Not sure how long it would take, but try to get them to pay for the damages by sending them a bill from a body shop. Oh and that black box is your engine oil cooler. you could bend the cooler back into place and get the wires out of the way and drive your car if you need a car to get around.

does anyone know how to do it..cause im working on the information and getting the bill in couple of days...1800 for the damage....im not paying that...thats bs. can someone tell me how to do it and where i go for this please?
