I just looked under my hood today and ATF fluid was at minimum? I just got the car 2 weeks ago, is this normal? i think that it should be a little under maximum, right? should i be concerned?

Was the car stone cold? or had you been running around in it? If it was warm/hot, then I'd flush and refill with new ATF.

BTW, mods... Plz move to Lancer general.

 

its a evo ix se, i came home and i poped the hood, when i looked at the ATF fluid, it was at minimum, wth?

 

??? But you don't have an automatic transmission. You're confusing your fluids.

 

It's the ACD fluid for the hydraulic clutch packs. It says ATF on the reservoir cap though; don't ask me why. What the OP is experiencing is normal. Look at the reservoir later when everything's cooled - you'll see the fluid return to the max line.

 

I'm pretty sure he's talking about his ACD fluid which is ATF fluid. It usually reads low after you've been driving.

ok look if you dont live to far from me. can we meet up or something? i think you need some help in identifying what your fluid's are so you dont end up putting the wrong fluids in the wrong places.

 

you are right. its just he dose not know what he is doing. he just got the car and he dose not know whats waht yet. lets all be nice and help him out till he has a grasp on whats going on. thats the evodan way. lol

no i messed up. i fixed it though. im on planet 12 right now. sorry. lol. i noticed i did that after i posted it.

 

I know its the ACD fluid, but it says ATF on the cap, anywayz i'll check the car today, i was just worried that something is wrong. Im almost at 1000 miles on my car, is this the time to change my engine oil?
