After that I actually changed my mind about trading in. I love my VIII
Good i'm happy they didn't let you test drive it. You know what an Evo IX is, you don't need to test drive it. There's to many kids that go to Medina asking for test drives. But if you really need to test drive an Evo ask for Tom Medved or Eric Sonnie Jr.(co-owner), that's my family.

My test drive was on the way home from the dealership

^^^ are you crazy Medina was stupid for not letting him drive the car. I would not sell a car to a customer until they drove it first. No wonder I hear about so many people bad mouthing that dealer. Ohhh and by the way a EVO 8 and a EVO 9 drive totally different and he had every right to want to drive the car first to make sure he liked it.

Well that's you. I guess that's why Medina is one of the top dealers in the country and where the BR packages originated.

I'm sorry but when I bought my Evo I could give a s**t about the test drive. I knew the car would be great. I mean do you want an Evo with 4mi or 35 abused/people that can't drive test drive miles? Come on...

I know that if I ever went on a car lot and was intersted in buying a car and they told me that before I could test drive the car I was interested i needed to sign the paperwork and get prequalified for credit, I would throw up my middle finger and walk off of their lot. Then I would go buy the car somewhere else and come by and show it to them. Now I can understand some 17 year old kid coming onto the lot wanting to test drive a EVO you have to use your judgement on that. But remember that 17 year old kid may have a rich grand ma that will buy him the car. Ohh and I take it by your comment that they did not let you test drive the car before you bought it either. I for one am better than that I would not be treated like that by some crummy car dealer. i could expect it from Ferreri dealer, but crap the are selling cheap old Mitsubishi's...and yes the evo is cheap.

No that's not the case. My family owns that dealership. I test drive all the new Evo models. Can't wait for the X!

Why did you buy the Evo if it's old and cheap?

I am not starting crap or anything, but if I owned that dealership and just read this thread I would be pissed that I lost a car sale because some one did not let this guy drive the EVO 9. Espicially since he rolled up in a EVO 8. Judging by how they treated this guy and how you came on here and said that you are glad they did not let him test drive the car show how crappy of a car dealer they are and I would never take my business there. I wonder what the sales manager would think if i emailed him a link to this thread and he knew that he just lost this guys business.

It is a cheap car and does not cost mitsu alot to make....the technology is old as dirt on the car and the interior looks like it came out of a 10k car....oh wait it did....lol I bouht the evo because of how it performs. Just because I said it was cheap does not mean i dont like the car. But lets face it Mitsu will never be a high line car dealer and most of the car dealers that own Mitsu lots are fly by night guys and do not last.

I don't know why your getting worked up. There obviously is some reason they didn't let him drive it. I understand about losing his business, but Evo's are in high demand and the IX he was looking at will be gone in a week. Well whatever he said he's happy with his VIII, let's move on.

Did you dyno your car with the 20GLT, 272's, and flash? Any track numbers? I'm looking at buying the 20GLT.

you must have confused it with the lancer es. you bought it because of how it performs? you probably don't know the technology that was put into the evo to make it perform as it is. why the contradiction of the interior? I thought you wanted the performance? you want to know about technology, it is the best there is for 4wd technology. it surpasses porsche 4wd, audi rs4 4wd and with the 9, subaru 4wd. it is the only vehicles with forged suspension parts, forged pistons and crank and I can go on and on. If you bought yours used, don't compare it to the new one. It is not cheap! I can purchase a new pilot with navigation for the price of the evo. edit.....

I am another person who will not buy a car without test driving it. That is just insane. When I got my Evo I had never driven one and truthfully didn't know a whole lot about them excpet there ratings from Car and Driver. In fact the test drive in my case is what sealed the deal. I would imagine that is case a lot of the times. I can understand wanting to keep the miles off and to get rid of joy riders but sometimes it is just neccesary.
