My Dyno Results

Well about 2 weeks ago I dropped off my car at AMS to have a Greddy E-Manage installed. But, then they recieved a shipment of HKS cams, so I had to take the opportunity. Anyways they dynoed my car and got very good results. The dyno was done at 20psi dropping to 19psi. I will post the graphs later. Stock... the evo is right around 240whp. After a boost controller, type s BOV, intake, and a Buschur turbo back exhaust, I was running 285whp and 369.5 torque. After tuning the e-manage and installing 264 intake, exhaust cams the max power was 355.4 whp!!!!!!! with the torque being 317.4. Horsepower wise, I believe that is one of the fastest in the country. The AMS Evo put out 353 whp with almost the same mods. I have yet to take it to the track, but I'm pretty excited. The cams are an amazing mod. No shaky engine idle at all. And the top end is just crazy now. I smoked a Corvette z06 by at least 5 cars last night through 3rd gear. Anyways just thought people would like to know the results.

Great results! Did AMD convert your car to FWD for the dyno runs? Also, could you post a sound clip of you Evo at idle just to hear what it's like w/ the cams?

Wow!! Nice mods and excellent hp/tq numbers! The jump in hp using the emanage and cams is pretty incredible, and the cams in particular seem to be a nice add! It sounds like the 264's offer a lot more up top while remaining pretty drivable.

The ability to stomp Z06 corvettes,M3's, M5's, SC Cobras, and other high-end performance cars, while still having a drivable all-weather 4 door car puts a smile on my face!!

What more could you want?

Good Work!

Cams and tuning = roughly $800

I have spent a total of $2800 w/o labor on my car. So as you can see, its not that much for a fast car.

Today we had a meet in SoCal and RMR showed up with a project evo. The are dynoing it tomorrow but they expect at least 380whp. It has the 272 cams with the HKS manifold turbo upgrade.

Could you clarify the torque figure? Did it go down after the tuning........369 to 317? Why is that and are you sacrficing some low end acceleration for top end speed? Thanks

I think he made a typo. I think he meant 269 tq to the wheels, not 369. It then upped from 269 to 317.

That is awesome to see the Evo put out numbers like that!! I like RMR and respect their shop alot, so its great to see that going down. But remember its much harder to mod a car when its yours, not a shops. But regardless, very cool. I've been informed from a few sources that the turbo upgrade on this car decreases power, especially in low end. I would be very interested to see their results.
