Hey guys...stopped by the local Mitsu dealer the other day to check out their only Evo...sat in it, tinkered with it...but forgot one thing...

Do the rear seats fold down allowing access to the trunk? I'm guessing the answer is no but it was something I forgot to look for.

As an avid cyclist/racer I wouldn't wanna put a bike rack on the car...nor the trailor hitch rack. Folding seats may provide an interior option...Thanks!

 

My ES does, not sure about the EVO, I would guess it does.

 

Only in the Lancer it does. But in the Evo the rear seat does not fold down. Correct me if I'm wrong. But I'm pretty sure I heard one member said that it does not fold down.

 

no, you're right lancerevolution, Evo8 doesn't have rear folding seat because there is a V-brace between the seat and the trunk so not much can get by anyways.

 

No folding due to braces.

I have had mine out several times for stereo install, and there are quite a few crossbraces behind the seat. Part of the major stiffening of the base Lancer body required for the rally car transformation.

 

there isn't even a pass through in the Evo....
