Damn, I would love to go, but I don't think I can. From Chicago, its supposed to be an 11 hour drive(although I could probably shorten that in the Evo. 
) I only have the 5- speed, so driving on the highways gonna be a ***** as well. Its around 3k RPMs at 70, I think.

I am in still but I am having trouble finding a cameraman and DJ for the passenger seat. The wife isn't going, and all my buddies have something else to do, or work, or wtf-ever so I guess I'll be rolling solo
yeah, all good on my end. I called today to check my reservations and everything is looking good. I rented two cabins this year because I have like 9 people going locally. upstatescevo, thanks for posting on other forums as well. That will help the crowd. I'm sure in the next few days we can set up a time to meet up and tear up some ro-ads 
Yeah, from all the people that are going with me, I'd say 6 of the cars are rolling solo...

Check out the warning and what happened. This was on Tail of the Dragon's webpage, no word on the upcoming weekend but the weather looks iffy for rain on Sat and Sun, when I'll be there of course

North Carolina will have extra Sheriff and Highway Patrol units on all roads with license check stops. We highly recommend that you reduce speeds and have appropriate documents ready to present. SLOW DOWN AND ENJOY THE WEEKEND
A motorcycle was over the double yellow causing the STI to vere off the pavement and lose control. How many times do we have to warn riders to stay in their lane.

I'll be there too. I went last fall in my stock 93 sentra SE-R with hard *** 185 width all season tires and had the most fun I've had in a car (well, almost
