Windshield rockchips

I must be pretty unlucky, everytime i hop on the parkway I always hear at least one rock hit my car. The past couple of times it's been hitting my windshield and i just noticed it actually caused damage to my windshield. They are very small chips on the windshield, and was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on a repair solution. They are currently small chips right now but i'm afraid it might spread and start cracking.

You can buy fix a windshield at walmart. I just used one two days ago and it is very effective. It was half an inch before and now it is not even visible.

Well it's not cracked persay, it's just a very small chip into the windshield. I'm just afraid that over time it'll cause the windshield to crack. So any special brand vegasevo9? I'll go try it out this weekend.

i recently got a pretty decent sized rock chip in my windshied. i just asked a couple of my friends for a reccomendation, and found a real good guy who came out to my house and sealed it up for me.

since it wasn't very deep and there was no cracking he only charged me 20 bucks.

but it's a good thing to get taken care of even if it's not that deep. don't want it getting worse if some water gets in there and freezes.

one tip is that while you're waiting to get it fixed, just throw some clear packaging tape over it, to keep water and other stuff out of the chip.

I have more rock chips on the windshield of the Evo than I've had any of my cars combined. I wonder what the deal is . . .

Thin glass + bad luck =you.

Avoid 18 wheelers and big SUVs like the plague. They'll get ya.

my windshield cracked twice. there was a rumor that the glass was thinner, but the install guy said thats not true. he said most likely from the car being lowered there isn't much to block the rocks, and also i'm just unlucky

i'd be interested in knowing how to repair chips...mines more of a windshield chip, not a crack!

I only spent $10 on fixing it. I was amazed that it worked. It is best if you dont put pressure on the crack. It will make more damage. Learned that from my civic in the past.

I thought the picture was a lie. It did work. I was so happy when the crack disappeared.
