No, you don't have to do a thing. This is the best intake EVAR!!!!!!!!!!! IMHO. hehehe.

LOL, I traded my buddy the apexi intake b/c of this. I can read japanese but that ish was giving me a freakin' headache. I just went w/ the agency power filter.

I do like apexi quality though.

It is so beyond over-kill it HAS to be a joke. I simply had to get a hold of the company and then get a person who spoke both languages to help me. I love this filter, the Evo loves it.

slightly off topic, but did any of you sand down the roughness on the inside of the cone-MAF adaptor? Anyone think its a good idea?

I just screwed 1 of the brackets to the frame and the IC piping bracket, it's secure enough
