anyone running this Intercooler?i just ordered the buschur UICP and need a new IC,running the greddy vspec and i believe its probably hurting me with my setup.

also does this kit come with the UICP?and will a AMS licp for a AMS GT35R work with this IC?and will the Race FMIC licp connect to a AMS GT35R kit if the ams licp wont work with IC

since i need a bigger IC for my setup- GREDDY VSPEC FMIC FOR SALE!!$400..COMES WITH PARTIAL UPPER PIPING

why not get an ams intercooler since you have so many other ams pieces??

Our Rcae FMIC does not come with the upper piping or lower piping. That is sold seperately. The upper pipe is $235 and the lower pipe for the Race FMIC is $270. With our upper pipe you will need the mini battery kit as well which is $225.

I believe our lower pipe will work with the AMS turbo kit.

NOTE: It does not come with our logo on it. I painted it on mine and it was a PITA as I had an issue with mine as well as a few others I tried to do. The paint just does not want to stick.

 

Are the upper and lower pipes required? Does the FMIC work with the stock piping?

 

ok thanks JROD...well all i would need is the lower most likely already have your UICP..should be in today actually..

also i thought some cutting of fender etc needs to be done?just like the pic of the black one on the site where the FMIC is for sale...i think that looks really nice


and i would go with AMS race fmic but its crazy expensive...the buschur race FMIC seems to be proven.and AMS or BUSCHUR you cant go wrong...

I didn't have to cut anything at all. I simply removed the mesh pieces on the lower parts of the bumper, removed the beam, and it fit snug in place.

actually was looking around.i really like the nisei comp core..what would you go with?nisei comp or buschur race?

 

nisei comp
because i have the street and know what quality/service to expect
and it also retains the stock crash bar with no modification required

but both buschur and nisei are great ics. its all personal preference to which one you choose. both are probably similar in performance , although a definitive test between the two would be great.

Some minor trimming is required but nothing extensive. The black undertray needs trimmed or removed. The crash bar some have got the FMIC to fit with it with no issues. The others have done some minor modifications or just removed it all together to save weight.

The LICP and FMIC shipped 2day air (thats the cheapest it can go) to Hawaii would be $1190.


That is a VERY old pic......actually the very first picture EVER of the Race FMIC. The piping does not look like that.
