R1 Concepts' Premium Brake Rotors
From another evo forum:
that may be the recipe w/ normal quality rotors neil...
but i've tested out the r1concept rotors before...
i had a cross-drilled + slotted setup and they did not even survive the bed-in period... upon completion of properly bedding the brakes, (after proper cool off)... the rotors showed signs of warping...50 miles down the road... there were immediate signs of cracking... upon the end of the day (probably about 200 miles driving total)... any braking over 30mph would cause violent shaking of the steering wheel...
In hopes of redeeming myself from this brand... i obtained a set of slotted rotors... tracked them... 1 warm up lap, 5 hot laps, 1 cool down lap, and my rotors showed signs of cracking...
i immediately obtained another brand of rotors after the track event.
buyer beware...
I still have the cross-drilled/slotted rotors sitting in a box somewhere to remind myself not to purchase them again... anyone is more than welcome to check them out urself.
They should be fine for street use, just don't track with them. If I remember correctly, slotted for the track and cross-drilled for the street.

they are a good company and they are in the car racing /WRC etc/ a long time ago.

not drilled thru so no craking and also
Wide aperture grooves
Special disc alloys UNIQUE to EBC
Dimple hole construction
Balanced geometry
"ADVANTAGES
The wider slot actually draws cool air across the pad surface keeping pads and rotors cooler. They also expel dust, dirt and hot gases better than fine slots which eventually fill with rust and scale and become ineffective in our opinion.
The blind drilled holes break down surface gases when braking from speed but do not weaken the rotor cross section as can happen with through drilling, thereby lessening the chance of rotors cracking over time and heavy use."

on the set i bought used, all four did have some cracks, however they were extremely minor surface cracks and when i got them resurfaced, the cracks were gone and havent come back yet. Probably not the greatest rotors if you are tracking them, but if you are street driving... they are just fine
