Hairspray on IC piping... Flammable?

Getting ready to install new Nisei LICP - this is one pipe I don't want blowing off when I go WOT...

Anyway, I have seen quite a few suggestions to use hairspray as an adhesive on the UICP piping ends before you clamp them down. Of course, the UICP is going to be cooler than the LICP (unless you have an Ebay IC, j/k ) Just wanted to make sure this was okay to use on the hotter LICP without any adverse effects...

Anyone know if the hairspray itself is flammable, or does the warning only apply to the aerosol used to pressurize the can?

Will my car burst into flames???

no ur suppose to spray it on and let it stay until it evaporates, the sticky residue is what will help. to be honest hairspray is redundant if you buy torque clamps. hairspray trick was more used because worm clamps just do the job.

I understand that; I want to make sure the sticky residue itself isn't flammable...

I was going to use both the T-bolt clamps + hairspray on all IC piping connections for "mega hold".

As mifesto said apply the hairspray as he said. I have sprayed the hairspray on the hoses while it was still wet on my Talon years ago and it still held without any issues. Doing the t-clamps and the hairspray would be extra insurance. I did both and have not had a problem since. I blew out a licp hose getting on the freeway a couple of months ago and it was a bi*tch to do that repair on the side of road. Never again!!

Yeah, I don't want to be that guy on the side of the road again...

Been there so many times with the damn UICP/TB connection blowing off - got to the point where I was scared to boost - screwdriver just doesn't cut it. Must use ratchet...

You dont need hairspray. If you put the clamps in the right place and tighten them accordingly, there is absolutely no need for anything like that.

Too many blowing them off....put some laquer thinner on the inside of the silcone and I could hang on the LICP.

Like I said, if they are on CORRECTLY, you dont need to do any of this nonsense. Unless you are running HIGH boost.

Sh*t, my brother and I lubricated ours to get them on and we run 24-26psi EVERYDAY. Never had one blow off.

Hairspray is only flamable right out of the can. You'll be fine if you use it there.
The Nesei LICP Comes with T-bolt clamps for the turbo inlet pipe. It also comes with a brakcet.
Basically you wont need the hairspray. You might need WD40 to get it in the couplers. I know i did.
