Ever think about running?
I was browsing on motor trend and found this... They test an evo against the police! http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...car_comparison
i actually have this issue !
The MR only takes the police by a few seconds plus theres alwayz more then one when they chase you 
Easy to out run a cop but nearly impossible to outrun a radio. If a cop turns around or begins to chase you without turning on his lights or siren or signalling to you in some fashion take off because he can't charge you with evading

Unless you have a really fast sport bike or a helicopter there is just too much traffic to get away. Standard Disclaimer; I would never run. :-)

Oh yeah. If you do run and decide to hide because you are not sure where backup is coming from make sure your car is not visible. At night it is a little easier but if the cop stops and shines his spotlighjt on you it is a ****ty feeling and he will ask you question like if you know the owner of the house.
I own a crown vic police interceptor.. There is no way it, in its stock form, can keep up with an Evo. I do know of a few that are supercharged, but still...
In reality, some states/counties have policies of letting runners go to avoid accidents and fatalities. But they always will have your plates, or some way of identifying you. Plus the radio, or helicopter depending on your location.
