random CEL?
While on my way to work I seen a CEL and got worried. I ate lunch dissconnected battery and reconnected and it went away...
Is this somthing I need to worry about?
I went WOT and everything seemed fine.
Why would it throw a cel out of nowhere

no one on this forum could tell you since you deleted the code. You should of got it pulled, that way you can actually fix the problem instead of ignoring it. It could of been anything from a cylinder running lean to the gas cap being lose.
+1 ...always check the codes b4 clearing them.
You aren't necessary going to blow your engine up now. Sometimes CEL's can just be a dirty air filter, or as listed above a loose gas cap. Although, it could have been something worse. Just always make sure you get the CEL code before resetting it. This can be done easily at a place like Auto Zone. I believe they will get CEL codes from your car for free. After you get the code, just surf the net and find what it means, or get on here and do a search before asking.
Definately not. if it's something that would be detrimental to the car the car would throw another CEL and go to limp mode. Do you remember if the light was flashing or was it solid. If it was solid it most likely was an emmision problem (02 sensor or such). if it was flashing the car would protect itself and go into limp mode(the car looses a lot of power).
If it's something that needs serious attention it'll come back sooner or later, then you can get the code pulled and address the problem at it's source.
