Technically no, unless the intake directly relates to a warranty issue.....

but to a Mitsubishi dealership.....YES

Best bet is to go through the dealership and ask them which intake they offer that will not void your warranty.

No offense, but why in the hell do you think you'd get definitive warranty information on an enthusiast message board? Seriously, if I say it's okay then you'll do it? My answer to you is "Maybe." Feel better?

Come on, man. You're better than that, Spanish!

as far mods, all you can have is the boost gauge and turbo timer. Other parts? unless they were installed by mitsu ur ok. thats what ive heard.

my warranty was out the window as soon as they have seen my gauges. of course it was pretty obvious that I had an aftermarket exhaust as well

you might get away with a catback and drop in filter. this will also give you decent performance gains even on the stock ecu - my friend gained 30hp from ralliart drop in, hks silent cat back (and ralliart plug wires) on stock ecu

Mistu dealers like to deny warranties based on any mod and an intake will certainly fall into that category. It all depends on the dealer though. Keep in mind that most intakes are easy to switch back to stock so I would just remove it if you need major service and take my car somewhere other than the dealer for oil changes but still use factory filters.

I bought my EVO IX MR used - the guy had an aftermarket intake on it and put it back to stock and we found that he did a sh1tty a$$ job.

I had the service manager look at it, he said they wouldn't void warranty work even if it was still in.

It depends on the Dealership and how much of a dick they want to be. They can't VOID your warranty, they can only refuse to perform the warranty work on your car. It is against the law to void your warranty on the car, they cannot do that.

it will be voided after they(mitsu dealership) prove that the damages to the car was caused by the intake. same thing with BOV if you plan on starting a thread about that too.

Shouldn't void your warranty, unless you go to an awful dealership.
