I'm curious if they can void a warrenty or find some way to blame a drop in filter only and not an intake system?

what warranty?...I didnt know we had one.

On a serious note, before you start putting aftermarket things on make sure
you ask the dealer service manager to find out what is allowed.

really depends on the dealer, but most of them will not warranty anything if they see any aftermarket parts.

if we can ask them. arent they supposed to give a written proof of their words to what aftermarket parts we can use. they can tell us that we install an intake for example, but what happen after 5 years. would it still be the same? they should provide a written approval.
